Our story

Four decades on Bridge Street.

El Rialto has been a cornerstone of the historic Plaza district in Las Vegas since 1976, when Ralph Garcia and Frances Garcia opened the restaurant with a vision of serving authentic New Mexican cuisine in a warm, family-centered atmosphere. Nearly five decades later, that vision lives on through their children Gabriel & Liz Garcia, who continue to uphold the traditions and hospitality that made El Rialto a town favorite.

Known throughout Northern New Mexico for its handcrafted margaritas, expansive menu of classic New Mexican dishes, and unforgettable fiestas on the patio, El Rialto has become more than just a restaurant—it is a gathering place where generations of families have celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, reunions, and milestones. Guests can enjoy everything from enchiladas, sopapillas, and chile rellenos to house specialties prepared with authentic recipes and the unmistakable flavors of red and green chile.

Next door, the family tradition continues with Abe Garcia’s beloved tiendita, adding another layer of community and culture to the Rialto experience. From live music and special events to private parties and summer nights under the patio lights, El Rialto remains one of Las Vegas’ most cherished destinations.
